The Woodrums-Stevens house at 836 Lower Chester Road is one of three original homes built in the Woodrum Partition, now part of the Edgewood Historic District. Constructed between 1920 and 1921 by C. E. Woodrum, co-owner of the Woodrum Furniture Company, the house is unique for being a mirror image of itself, meaning both the front and back of the house look the same. Situated on a promontory, the home overlooks the original carriage trail that residents once used to access the Woodrum Partition.
