Home of James M. (Mont) Raine. His father was T. W. Raine, brother to John Raine, a founder of Meadow River Lumber Company.
Mont Raine built the house in 1922. Mont Raine was in charge of the railroad system of Meadow River Lumber. The family lived in the house for some 40 years, until Mont Raine's death in 1964.
