e-WV: The West Virginia Encyclopedia Online

Judy Prozzillo Byers is a native of Fairmont and West Virginia's 2002 Professor of the Year. She is the retired Abelina Suarez Professor, senior level, in English and folklore at Fairmont State University, where she directed the Frank and Jane Gabor West Virginia Folklife Center. She has degrees from Fairmont State and WVU and has done post-graduate work at Indiana University.
