Buddy Griffin of Glenville is the retired director of cultural events and music teacher at Glenville State University. He produces programs for public radio. He played fiddle with Grand Ole Opry stars Jesse McReynolds and the Virginia Boys and continues to perform with the Mack Samples Band. He was inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame in 2023.
