Jack I. Cromer (1934-2022), a Pocahontas County native with degrees from WVU and University of Michigan, served in the U.S. Marines and as a smoke jumper for the U.S. Forest Service. He retired from the Division of Natural Resources, where he was supervisor of game management services.
